  • Fear of flying
  • Fear of driving
But also physical complaints:
  • Tinnitus
  • Heart Palpitation
  • Dizziness
  • Derealisation
  • Stress

It all started to become clear to me...

I literally tried everything to get rid of my anxiety and panic.

But no one told me the most important thing I will tell you right now:

Trying to get rid of your anxiety, panic or any mental health problem is the ROOT CAUSE of your problems!

Whatever I tried, I always had the same thought:

'I hope this will help me get rid of my anxiety and panic...'

Have you been trying to get rid of your panic and anxiety?

Do you hope that a new therapy, course, or book will help you get rid of the things you are suffering from right now?

After helping thousands of people, I noticed that many people with anxiety, panic or even depression are stuck in the same thought process.

It's not your complaints that are the problem, but YOU trying to get rid of them.

The problem is you trying to solve the problem!

I know it all sounds too good to be true because you've tried so much already...

I was in the same spot you are in right now.

Let's look at the things you are doing right now to get rid of your anxiety and panic:

  • Mindfulness
  • Breathing exercises
  • Positive thinking
  • Asking 'why me' or thinking 'What is happening to me is not fair'
  • Practicing mantras
  • Rational thinking
  • Putting things into perspective 'oh well, it's not that bad'
  • Being optimistic about the future
  • Trying to focus on something else
  • Thinking logically or reasoning
  • Avoidance
  • Ruminating your thoughts
  • Resisting negative thoughts
  • Criticizing yourself
  • Use of drugs (coffee, alcohol, weed, excessive eating, smoking, supplements, etc.)
  • Wishing something hadn't happened in the past
  • Wishing you could go back in time before 'it' happened
  • Comparing yourself to people who feel “good” or wishing you were like that person

Unfortunately, these methods don’t work.

That's because all these methods are coping mechanisms.

They are mental tricks to help you "deal" with your anxiety and panic, but will never end or solve them.

And if you keep using them, your anxiety and panic will always be around the corner.

An exception on this list is mindfulness and meditation.

But if practised in the wrong way or for the wrong reasons, these can also become coping mechanisms.

I always ask my patients the following question:

"Would you also practise meditation or breathing exercises if you did not suffer from anxiety and panic?"

I always get the same answer: 'No!'

Unfortunately, many of the above coping mechanisms are recommended in today's therapies.

This is the worst advice you can give to someone battling anxiety and panic...

If you are using one or more of the above methods, or if your therapist is advising you to use them...

I would advice you to stop and try my new method.

First, let's have a look at...
